Thanks for getting involved!

We recently asked people to provide feedback on a range of topics including:

  • Options for the project's transmission corridor
  • Fishing and offshore wind
  • Our ongoing site investigations
  • How we're consulting and communicating with you.

A online survey and interactive map, and hardcopy versions sent via post, were used to collect feedback from 9 April to 17 May. Thanks to everyone who shared local knowledge and ideas.

Community Advisory Group

We are establishing a Community Advisory Group as a way to share information, answer questions and seek local advice. We are looking to draw on the expertise and interest within local communities across Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley to help shape a successful project.

Expressions of interest for the group were accepted during April/May 2020. Thank you to those who expressed an interest - we're now reviewing applications. The group's first meeting is expected to be held in July/August 2020.

Applications close on 24 May 2020.

Landholder conversations - March 2020, ongoing

We recently met with all landowners whose land may be most suitable for possible transmission line routes. At this stage, we do not expect other properties to be directly affected. Should anything change and we find that other routes need to be considered, we would contact relevant landholders directly to discuss.

Please get in touch with us on 1800 340 340 or email info@starofthesouth.com.au if you've got any questions or concerns.

Consultation report - September 2019

Thanks to everyone who came to our community information sessions in September 2019. We had lots of great conversations and enjoyed listening to your feedback on the project.

We generally heard a lot of support for the Star of the South, which was largely driven by the opportunities offshore wind could bring to Gippsland communities. We also heard about potential issues and concerns that should be taken into consideration as we progress our planning work.

Read the Consultation Report.
